A lesson to pass on: stuck in a situation?

As a cynic and sometime pessimist, I found this to be a good lesson!

Sometimes, we try too hard to get to the greener grass
and, in the process, we end up in trouble.

When you find yourself in trouble and you're stuck in a situation that
you can't get out of, there is one thing you should always remember...

Not everyone who shows up is there to help you…!

That is the end of today’s lesson!

There are people who say, the grass is not greener on the other side of the fence.
It's a myth.

Here's one for you: the grass can be always greener on the other side.
Why is it greener on the other side?
Because it's fertilized with bullshit.

lesson I learned: We must tend the grass wherever we are.

This reminds me of another story I heard some time ago:

A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold; the bird froze and fell to the ground in a large field. While the bird was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on it. As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, it began to realize how warm it was. The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy. A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him!

Management Lesson:
1) Not everyone who drops shit on you i s your enemy.
2) Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.
3) And when you're in deep shit, keep your mouth shut!

Robert Fulghum, author of that classic book "All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten" put it this way:  "The grass is not, in fact, always greener on the other side of the fence. No, not at all. Fences have nothing to do with it. The grass is greenest where it is watered. When crossing over fences, carry water with you and tend the grass wherever you are."
